Head Start is a federally funded program that is offered through the Green Bay Area Public School District. This program serves income-eligible 3 and 4 year-olds and is a comprehensive child development program.

Seeking to help children achieve in future schooling, Head Start teaches children early literacy skills and encourages positive social and emotional development. Head Start also seeks to meet the needs of the child through recognizing the full scope of needs and makes services available to the whole family system.
Howe Neighborhood Family Resource Center is home to a Head Start classroom. As there are classrooms available throughout the city, we cannot guarantee placement in HNFRC's classroom. However, we encourage parents to consider this option. For more information you can call 448-2226 or visit http://www.nhsa.org/.
Application materials are available at HNFRC's front desk or can be downloaded at the link below. All applications must be turned into the Green Bay Area Public School District's main office located at 200 S. Broadway St.
